Photo Update

Its been some time since we published an update. The table is built and functioning it has yet to be finished. We switched to the playstation eye camera and have seen a big improvement.

Update: Systems Test 1


Today we connected the reacTIVision software to Ableton Live. Our experiences with Dim Ambition have made this process considerably easier. At the end of the day we had the initial glitches removed from the software. Although it may not look like it, the system is recognizing 2 objects and using the X, Y and Z position of the object to affect the synthesized instruments in Ableton.

Evolution of Idea's

This project is an evolution of previous work completed by Mac Pepler and Lucas Thurston. Drawing from the idea of physical music interaction. The objects in the concept drawing sit on a sheet of glass, beneath them is a camera tracking the motion of those objects, while the system interoperates those signals to alter the music
